Shakespeare's Column
I would like to propose that a statue of William Shakespeare stands atop of what is now Nelson's Column. Alternatively, I propose that a column of equal size and grandeur is constructed in Trafalgar Square, to reflect that Britain has a literary tradition and figurehead that should be the nation's pride and joy and one who bestrides the world with his nourishing words.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Trafalgar Square is the responsibility of the Greater London Authority (GLA).
