City centre cyclists should be required by law to be insured and licensed.
More and more laws are becoming apparent that allow cyclists to prosecute or report road vehicles for offences using cameras and other evidence. It’s almost impossible for vehicles to do this as cyclist are unknown road users. This petition is to ensure the safety of all road users.
Cyclists do not require a license, insurance, license plates or any identification to cycle our streets. If we cannot provide this information outside of city centres, we should at least allow this information to be visible and accessible inside all major city centres.
