Tougher sentencing for violent crime, paedophilia and rape in England.
For too many years masses of the public have become sickened on witnessing too much soft sentencing for violent crime, paedophilia and rape in England.
We will not rest until sentencing has considerably increased for these crimes to serve as an effective deterrent and to make our streets safer.
This petition is focused on England due to the vast majority of the Ministry of Justice's work taking place in England and Wales and so the petition creator's focus is on England which is the country he resides in.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the terms "violent crime" and "paedophilia" are used to describe a variety of different criminal offences. We're not sure which crimes you would like the UK Government and Parliament to increase sentences for.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government and Parliament to do. Or you might want to sign these petitions instead:
