Change the curriculum to provide greater mental health support in education.
bangthedesk.com is campaigning to change the curriculum and reform the education system.
Suicide is the leading cause of death among young people in the UK; this peaks in exam season.
We can statistically prove the damaging affect of stress on young people, so why are we doing nothing to help?
Bang The Desk is petitioning the government to make the following changes to the UK school curriculum:
1. Remove formal testing for anyone under the age of 18.
2. Increase funding for the arts.
3. Introduce an hour of wellbeing into the curriculum every day.
4. Start and end every school day with 10 minutes of mindfulness.
5. Greater mental health support across all educational institutions; mandatory counselling once a month for every student.
6. Better wages and support for teachers.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
