Safeguard UK airspace for the General Aviation community and other stakeholders

Petition Details

In July 2018, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved Farnborough’s Airspace Change Proposal (ACP).

Farnborough’s (ACP) poses a threat to VFR flights, creating choke-points and increasing the risk of near misses and actual mid-air collisions.

Additional Information

- Lasham Gliding Society (LGS) has honourably contested this decision and are fully supported by the General Aviation (GA) community.

- On the 10th of October, (LGS) applied to the High Court for judicial review of the CAA’s decision.

- The independent review body Helios identified a number of substantial failures with regards to the CAA’s (ACP) application process.

- Farnborough’s (ACP) application must be prevented from establishing a dangerous! precedent.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you are concerned about the Farnborough Airspace Change Proposal, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
