The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Sovereign Grant is paid annually to the monarch by the Government in order to fund the Monarch's official duties. The monarchy is responsible for deciding how to spend the Sovereign Grant and so the UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for making these spending decisions.
You can find out more about the grant here: www.gov.uk/government/publications/sovereign-grant-act-2011-guidance/sovereign-grant-act-2011-guidance
You could start a new petition asking for a reduction in the Sovereign Grant, if that is something you would like to see happen.
