There must be a radical overhaul of our Parliamentary and electoral systems.
Democracy has seemingly died in the UK, as our outdated, outmoded and dysfunctional Governments continue to try and govern, without true mandates while attempting to manipulate the silencing of any opposition. The time has finally come for a radical overhaul of the UK’s democratic process.
Democracy must be adhered to and all UK citizens be given the real chance to make every vote count in electing future British Governments, so actually representing the interests of the people who elect them. All future Governments must be truly held to account for all they do in our name. They must ensure the fair treatment of all our citizens, be free of the self-serving few, and respond to those directly electing them instead of any other entity. It’s time for the people to take back control.
