Ban glitter on greeting cards. Also, ban non-recyclable gift wrap.
At this time of year, Christmas, and at the end of a year highlighting the threat to the planet of plastics, I have become aware of the difficulty of avoiding plastic waste in the "festive season".
Our ban of free plastic bags has been most effective. Our ban of plastic straws is gaining momentum.
My idea gives sufficient lead time for the greetings industry to change their products before next Christmas, a time of maximum consumption.
