Stop mayor of London to charge congestion charge to private hire driver
Please know that previously, private hire vehicles (PHVs) were exempt from paying the Congestion Charge. However, TfL announced yesterday (19th December 2018) that from 8th April 2019, PHVs will no longer be exempt.
This means that PHVs will need to pay the Congestion Charge if they travel within the charging Zone during charging hours (7am - 6pm, Monday to Friday).
