Maintenance for children with a one parent.

Additional Information

When one parent is given custody of a child the other has to pay maintenance for this child.

If a parent is deceased and/or unable to pay child maintenance, the government should step in and pay the missing child maintenance so there is enough income to look after the child to full effect.
