Officially class endometriosis as a disability for women who have the disease.
As I suffer from endometriosis I know the struggle that women face. It’s hard trying to prove that the disease can take over your life. I’m constantly battling with the job centre about PIP. It’s time the disease got classed as a disability.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Laws and policies, including the Equality Act and the PIP assessment process, don't list specific conditions and define them as disabilities. In most cases, it’s the impact that a health condition has on the person’s life that qualifies them for support or protection under the law.
You can find out more about showing that you're disabled under the Equality Act here:

You might like to sign this petition to raise awareness of endometriosis among young women and medical professionals instead:

Alternatively, you could start a similar petition calling for the Government to raise awareness among PIP assessors and job centre staff.
