Condemn Japan for resuming commercial whaling and quiting the IWC.
Japan confirms it will quit IWC to resume commercial whaling in its waters in July 2019. An international ban has been in place since 1986. Japan claims that stocks have recovered, but this is not an acceptable excuse when marine ecosystems are also under threat from climate change and pollution.
