Changes to the Digital Economy Act 2017 are unreasonable and require revision
On the 17th of December, the draft proposals for Online Pornography (Commercial Basis) Regulations 2018 were approved which will require personal information to be provided before online adult content can be accessed despite glaring flaws in the proposals and little thought given to public objection

The recent approved changes are a gross extension of the nanny state, breach of personal liberty, abrogation of parental responsibility and poorly thought out so as to have little efficacy.
There was a shocking lack of opposition to this infringement of rights to privacy and freedom for a frankly questionable benefit, with reasonable opposition cynically misrepresented and ignored.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about the Online Pornography (Commercial Basis) Regulations 2018 but we are not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition asking for those Regulations to be repealed if that is something you would like to see happen.
