Security vetting for immigration
I would like to propose a debate on the vetting of immigrants similar to that used in other countries (such as Australia), with a clause of No entry without vetting - No exceptions.
After the increasing number in reports of non British people being revealed to have criminal records in their home countries it is clear that the immigration system needs to be reviewed to ensure that security vetting is undertaken before entry is permitted. In cases where this is prevented by policies in other countries hindering or preventing British requests for criminal and security records, entry should be refused as standard.
