Start safeguarding parents from abusive ex-partners.

Petition Details

I want to safeguard mothers and fathers who have been victims of abuse from and ex partner. We must change the law and guidance to prevent parents from being expected to enter mediation with their abuser.

Additional Information

Many women and men are expected to mediate with abusive ex-partners for the ‘benefit’ of the child whilst no safeguarding is considered for the parent who has to mediate with someone who mentally, physically or sexually assaulted them. Many parents’ well-being is forgotten in these circumstances, and lives can be put at risk if we keep ignoring this.
