Petition Action

Prohibit Public Holidays from being Politicised

Petition Details

The use of public funds by the Mayor of London to promote closer EU-ties has politicised and spoilt what should have been a politics-free event. We wish to ensure that public funds can no longer be misused in this way, thusly ensuring that all future public events and holidays remain politics-free.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
