Stop the FCO charging victims of Forced Marriages for their rescue
As exposed by the Times newspaper. The FCO is making victims of forced marriage pay for their rescue and repatriation either up front or by taking out loans from the FCO.
It is vile that any government department should make a victim of a crime pay to be helped and must stop immediately.
As cited in the Times there is considerable evidence of financial, mental and emotional harm being done to people as a result of this policy and there can be absolutely no justification for this.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government have agreed to change their policy, so it's unclear what other action the UK Government or Parliament could take.
