Telecom Companies to compensate customers that have been forced into automatic contract extensions at the end of an initial term
Ofcom have ruled that the sharp practises of Telecom companies automatically extending contracts with consumers after an initial fixed period (for up to 2 years) MUST stop on 31st December 2011
However, the millions of consumers still tied into these agreements must continue to pay to the end of these extension periods and are unable to take advantage of better terms with alternate suppliers
We call on the Goverment to inact legislation that cancels these renewals immediately and ensures that such sharp practices can not happen in the future.
