Force UK Govt to levy a £1bn fine on VW for “dieselgate” scandal.
VW have been fined in several other countries (USA, Germany) for the illegal use of defeat devices. Why not UK Govt? And uk VW owners can only hope to get compensation via a class action which is costly and may not succeed. Govt should step in and penalise VW.

This would be a decision for the courts. The UK Parliament and Government aren't responsible for fining companies. You could start a new petition calling for the UK Government to start legal proceedings against VW in the UK.
