Petition Action

Teach the science of creation as part of national curriculum in science.

Petition Details

There now exists a robust scientific evidence base for creation and it is only right that all school children should have the opportunity to learn about this evidence in science .To that end creation is not just a belief so should be taught in science and not in RE.

Additional Information

According to the current guidance to apply to set up a Free School , any proposed school that wishes to teach creation as part of science will be rejected. This guidance should be removed to allow schools to teach the science of creation in science Some examples of references include :
1.Replacing Darwin , Nathaniel Jeanson
2. Genetics and evolution, philosophy of science, space physics all three from national curriculum in England science Programne .

And many more.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

In particular, we aren't sure whether you want to change the rules about setting up free schools or change the curriculum for all schools.

You could start a new petition setting out clearly the change you would like to see happen.
