Petition Action

Debate the abolition of parliament and a restoration of the monarchy.

Petition Details

Parliament has not fulfilled its mandate in following the referendum’s outcome. As such it is a tremendous waste of money. In fact many parliamentarians seek to overturn a democratic vote. They are, therefore, no longer fit for purpose.

Additional Information

Two and a half years into voting to leave the EU, no more, no less, we are assaulted and assailed by members who would like to see us remain. This is not acceptable and the system of government (FPTP) robs us of the chance to rid ourselves of these creatures.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

The UK is already a monarchy, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
