Petition Action

Disallow single judges to retain cases more than a year, & psychologically test.

Petition Details

If the judge gets it wrong they'll stick by their guns. Fresh eyes will prevent this. More than one judge would be ideal as we are giving a lot of responsibility to one person who will make mistakes. Many judges present as having covert personality disorders. Please test them.

Additional Information

Every day we hear stories of shocking decisions made by single judges. A panel would better prevent very wrong harmful decisions being made on behalf of the child(ren). Many Judges make a decision about a parent in five minutes and base the case on little other than a feeling. A new Judge every twelve months would prevent childrens' entire childhoods being ruined by common attribution errors. Many judges simply cannot possess empathy. This is a sign of horrible cluster B personality disorders.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for all court cases to be overseen by at least two judges, if that's what you'd like to happen.
