Tax Breaks To Encourage Home Working.
Billions have been spent on hair brained schemes to try to persuade commuters to use public transport more, yet the simplest way to reduce the rush hour commute is to actively encourage companies and their employees to not travel to work at all.
To do this a scheme of tax breaks is required to help in funding employers providing the infrastructure and equipment required and to reward the individuals that then drop out of the daily commute.
Technology means that a majority of jobs don't actually need people physically present anymore and the government needs to be seen to be leading a seachange in working practices.
