Vegetarian/Vegan food cleary labelled, prepared and served away from Meat
When food is prepared there should be no chance of cross contamination between Vegetarian/Vegan food and Meat products. Whether this is a personal/allergy based or religious choice for the person, it should be ensured that they are getting what they expect.
There have been many occasions where people have been served a Meat product when they wanted Vegetarian. Causing a large amount of distress and hurt. It should be made a requirement for any vendor who deals with food to ensure everything is clearly labelled/marked. And prepared in a separate clean environment and also checked at time of serving that there is a clear indicator to show if the food is Vegetarian/Vegan or Meat.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
A business labelling food that contains meat as "vegan" or "vegetarian" may already be acting unlawfully. You can find out how to report them to trading standards here:
www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/get-more-help/report-to-trading-standards/
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government and Parliament to require all food and drink to be labelled as vegan, vegetarian or containing meat, if that's something that you'd like to happen.
