To give the people a true Political Sovereignty

Petition Details

If the electors in a general election or referendum win the majority then parliament have a duty constitutionally to uphold that decision .
Irrespective of party politics the overall decision should be to honer the vote taken and that was to exit the union on the terms set out in the referendum

Additional Information

What ever party you follow you have to follow the majority vote that's democracy when parliament frustrate that result then the vote becomes meaningless their job is to install trust and stability .

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
