Make it a criminal offence not to try to carry a minifesto or election pledge
It is plainly obvious that people or partys are making pledges to get elected that they have no intentions of trying to carry out are impossable to impliment due to cost and other reasons.
it is therefor necessary that any pledge or promise made should be well thought out and costed
I sight the current position in parliment that mp's or parties are making impossible promisses to get elected these, pledges in there manifestos are later totaly ignored or never mentioned again.
Any pledge's made to get elected represent the position they will be expected to follow when elected
if a person makes a pledge to do something that helps the party or person to get elected they have a legal obligation to attempt to carry out there pledge whilst serving in that position
