Legalise More Self Defence Items
So many women in this day and age fear walking alone anywhere night or day. The only defence legalised in the UK at the moment is a rape alarm, whilst it may deter an attacker we can not assume it will every time.
BBC News draws attention to a survey in which out of 1,903 13-21 year olds in the UK, two thirds felt unsafe or knew someone fearful of walking home alone.
In 2016 a poll was taken on street harassment showing 64% of women of all ages experienced unwanted sexual harassment and 35% had experiences unwanted sexual touching. - source youGov.
The Guardian - Figures show that women are five times more likely than men to have experienced a type of sexual assult, unwanted touching or indecent exposure.
