Withdraw Article 50 Letter! Lisbon Treaty isn't validated! People are Sovereign

Petition Details

Article 50 requires validation of Treaty FIRST. Both parties promised Referendums to ACTIVATE the Lisbon Treaty. Then refused. It is INVALID without one. Governments recognise primacy of People. HMG must either recognise Referendums and have one on the Treaty. Or drop 2016 Referendum as irrelevant!

Additional Information

As a matter of constitutional law, Governments & parties exceeded their authority as representatives. Lisbon Treaty is illegal. Parliament can't change Constitution irrevocably without the assent of all British adults in free, open & fair referendums. Governments don't have Henry VIII powers. Courts recognise Primacy of the People in Referendums. Magna Carta said it was part of Britain's ancient laws.
People's assent or denial is their essential Human Right or all Legislation will become unsafe.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You might like to sign one of these petitions instead:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
