Award a peerage to the Speaker of the House of Commons, when he retires
Former Commons speakers have been automatically offered a seat in the House of Lords upon their retirement.
John Bercow has been truly outstanding in ensuring that the Government is fully accountable to Parliament and it’s Members particularly during the Brexit debates.
