For the House of Commons to adopt a codified constitution.

Petition Details

In regards to accusations of The Speaker and Members of Parliament breaking president, changing procedure or being accused of a coup d’tate. With political and establishment trust being incredibly low. With bills and amendments confusing the general public a codified constitution is now needed.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the House of Commons to take. In particular we aren't sure what you mean by a codified constitution.

You could start a new petition setting out clearly what action you would like the House of Commons of Government to take. For example, if you would like the UK to have a written constitution you could start a petition about that.
