e-petitions are a joke
E-Petitions should be a tool of power not one big publicity stunt.
Epetitions are vetted. My opinion is worth less than anyone else? Who should have the right to say. To censor my voice.
Why is speaking about significant petitions raised on here in parliament optional? it should be mandatory! In my opinion E-petitions may as well be saying, your opinion means nothing unless politicians feel like it should.
That's not giving someone a voice, that's cleaver meaningless politics giving rise to good publicity.
E-petitions should be saying if a significantly high number of people sign a petition, it forces a discussion in parliament.
Give us real power, not false hope we may be heard.
Sign this petition for your support to giving your voice real power. Petitions signed on e-petitions by a great consensus should mandatorily be topics discussed before parliament. Parliament should be forced into discussion.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
