Prosecute people who lie about rape or their age
I am campaigning for there to be concequesces for people who lie about rape or lie about their age and engage in sexual activity with someone over 16. I decided to create this petition as many people’s lives are destroyed by false accusations and I would like to put a stop to it. Thank you.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what you would like the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Making a false allegation of a crime may already in some circumstances lead to a jail sentence - for example, if someone is found guilty of perverting the course of justice. In other cases, people who are accused of making false accusations may be prosecuted for wasting police time.
It is not therefore clear to us how you would like the law to be changed.
