Teens need 8 to 10 hours of sleep. School should start at 9:00 or 9:30.
Teens need 8 to hours of sleep every night. However, in high school, all the homework and activities and revision result in teens sleeping later than recommended. This is unhealthy for them and lowers their concentration level, resulting in lower achievement scores. School should start at 9-9:30am.
According to a study in the Journal of Adolescent Health, only about 29 percent of students get the recommended eight hours of sleep each night.
