More homeless shelters should be opened in local areas
Homelessness has affected many people across the united kingdom, and will continue to do so at a rapid rate- Homelessness is a very large scale problem, so one way to start tackling it, is by opening more homeless shelters, so there could be less people sleeping rough.
Last year 57,890 households were accepted as homeless in England. In Scotland, 34,100 applications were assessed as homeless and in Wales 9,210 households were threatened with homelessness. The latest figures showed that 4,751 people slept rough across England on any given night in 2017 - a 15% increase compared to the previous year, and more than double the amount in 2010.
