Make the cabinet touch reality and experience living on benefits
Make the cabinet and their immediate families live on job seekers allowance and related benefits for one month whilst living in a rundown council flat, they must heat, feed and clothe their families from the allowance to complete their assignment. This will put them in touch with the poorest families and give them more empathy with those they profess to care for. They must not be allowed to take personal luxuries. ‘Fly on the wall’ cameras will follow their every day struggle in the same vein as I’m a celebrity get me out of here. Any profits made from the assignment will be given to The Salvation Army to feed the needy.
