More help is needed for teenagers and young people with mental health problems
There is a rising epidemic of adolescents and young people with mental health problems ranging from depression to eating disorders. With the right funding the NHS can help more teenagers with there mental health issues caused by growing pressure in school and from social media.
As a sufferer of depression, anxiety and self harm myself, I have seen the effect of mental health on me and my friends and family, and people like me could be working through our issues much quicker and with less pain if the systems that deal with young people’s mental health were better funded and supported, as currently the waiting times even to have an assessment on your mental condition are appalling. Something needs to be done to save my generation.
