Official Objection re: Japanese Lindsey Hawker Murderer movie

Filmmaker and actor Dean Fujioka plans to make a movie about the 2.5 years that a Japanese man, Ichihashi, spent on-the-run after the brutal rape and murder of expat English teacher, Lindsey Hawker.

We, the undersigned, find the notion of this movie (which will glamourise and humanise the convicted perpetrator) gravely offensive and insensitive, and in the interests of the bereaved Hawker family and the British public at large, appeal to the British Goverment to register an extremely firm official protest with the Government of Japan.
