Stop the removal of the stroke unit in the QEQM hospital in Margate
The NHS are moving the stroke unit because of costs although it is costing £40 million to make the move. We feel this is a waste of money.
Moving this unit will cost lives of the people around Thanet. The ambulances will have to travel further which will potentially cost lives of the people who are in need of immediate medical care. It costs an ambulance around £155 to run. Moving the unit further away will only increase these figures.
