Petition Action

Separation of girls and boys in state funded primary and secondary schools

Petition Details

Little immature girls and boys should not study together in one small room with close distance. As such by free mixing of little boys and girls they become friends. We being muslim can't bear any friendship between boys and girls. We want modest educational environment for our little girls and boys.

Additional Information

As being Milton Keynes resident, I have seen many unbearable situations in small local parks where 6-7 years old boy and girl sitting by putting legs on each other. They also do hugs and kissing on way back to their home openly. There is only school classroom from where they get intraction or familarity to each other.

We humbly request to allow separate girls and boys classes in primary and secondary schools. There are many independent girls only school in England but no state girls only school.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

There are many state single-sex schools in the UK, so we're not sure what you'd like the UK Government and Parliament to do.

You can find a list of state girls schools here:

get-information-schools.service.gov.uk/Establishments/Search?tok=8TI89uzj

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the UK Government or Parliament to do.
