Petition Action

launch an independent inquiry into bias at the BBC

Petition Details

The BBC charter requires the BBC ensure controversial subjects are treated with due impartiality in news and other output. BBC shows such as question time almost all the time has a majority of the panel in favour of remaining in the EU, where's the impartiality?

Additional Information

BBC news, Question Time and Politics Live are prime examples of where there's always a majority of panels in favour of remaining in the European union, that is not impartiality. This petition is calling for an independent inquiry to look into whether the BBC has broke the BBC charter rules on impartiality and whether changes should be made to make it clearer within the rules and for whether a body should be setup which monitors the BBC on impartiality.
