Establish more food banks and soup kitchens in the London Borough of Haringey
We want there to be more food banks and soup kitchens in the borough to help those who are less fortunate and don't have a reliable food source. According to national homelessness charity Shelter, in November 2018 Haringey had the second highest rate of homelessness of any local authority in the UK.
9,200 people in Haringey are in temporary accommodation. 1 in 29 people don't have a permanent home. Please join us in making sure the less fortunate have a reliable food source!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because it's about something the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for.
Emergency assistance for the homeless in Harringay would be the responsibility of the local authority and not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:

You could start a new petition calling for the UK Government to fully fund a nationwide scheme of food banks and soup kitchens if that is something you would like to see happen.
