Petition Action

Stop unlicensed taxis for profit under the pretence of ride/lift sharing

Petition Details

Due to the chronic rise in social media ' lifts for cash ' epidemic, laws need to be passed to stop the unlicensed taxi trade. Up and down the country, Facebook lift groups are operating a ' lift in exchange for cash ' taxi business, uninsured and unlicensed.

Additional Information

If you search any town in the UK on Facebook and add the word ' lifts ', you will normally find numerous groups offering an unlicensed and illegal taxi service.
