Make it illegal for government to waste public money
Example - Boris Johnson spent £53,000,000 on a non existent bridge - £43,000,000 is coming out of public purse
Chris Grayling spent £800,000 on a non existent ferry after saying no money was spent
Politicians are in positions of power/ responsibility - including the tenet first do no harm - this must include financially.
Cuts are hitting hard over 600,000 British people have died making wasting money even more criminal and abhorrent.
Whether priminister, minister, member of Parliament, tsar or civil servant all members of our political heirachy should not be allowed to waste money, projects should undergo triage, full scrutiny and if they waste money they should be fired with no return.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about how public money is spent, but we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition for a change to the Ministerial Code such that any Minister found to have wasted public money will be asked to resign if that is something you would like to see happen.
