Make feeding cats a plant-based diet a criminal offence.
Cats (wild and domestic) have a specific digestive system suitable for meat based diets only. They are Obligate Carnivores.
Cats lack the enzyme to break down and extract nutrients from plant matter.
Feeding this diet can cause many health issues and goes against animal welfare.

The Animal Welfare Act already requires an owner to take reasonable steps to ensure that the pet's needs are met, this includes providing a suitable diet. We're therefore not sure exactly what further action you'd like to see.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
