MPs to attend Reality of Poverty minimum 3wk immersive experience & training
Given many MPs glaring lack of understanding & empathy to the plight of those in poverty (for whatever reason), Cab MPs esp. to be required to more truly experience the actual hardships faced. Mandatory classes on the numerous effects of long-term poverty included. Poverty is NOT a personal defect.
This must be a fully immersive experience; no access to usual privilege or peer group for a minimum of 21days. All MPs must better understand the many ramifications of living in poverty, not create punitive policies borne of ignorance.

You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because this would be a decision for individual MPs and not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
You could start a petition calling on the UK Government to start an awareness raising campaign about the impact of poverty if that is something you would like to see happen.
