Require the Traffic Light System on all children’s food!
As an Early Years Practitioner, I have noticed how little the “Traffic Light System” is put on the children’s foods. I feel like this is a necessary so that the children can understand whether it is healthy or not. Colours are so simple to a child so this is a much better method than just numbers.
The country encourages Healthy Eating however, they don’t teach children in the way that they would understand the best. Numbers mean nothing to the children, however, they realise that colours have meaning. For example; Red means Bad and Green means Good.
