Urge supermarkets to stock reusable sanitary items
Sanitary items can be expensive and bad for the environment. They’re not always accessible for people on low incomes/no income.
Reusable items should be an “option to buy” provided by the supermarkets who are also responsible for the tons of waste from selling single use sanitary towels.
Although they can be purchased on the internet, local supermarkets are failing to provide them on their shelves.
If the local MPs and government backed this idea then they could urge the supermarkets to stock these alternatives. Once women see them on the shelves and they are more accessable it will be a positive turning point not only for the thousands of women struggling to buy these necessities but for the environment.
