Retrospectively legislate for MPs quitting party to face automatic by-elections
Recently a number of both Labour and Conservative MPs resigned their party memberships
Yet the people are not being given an opportunity to vote on their actions
The people should have a vote in such situations. Switching parties calls for a new mandate from the people that they represent
