When an MP resigns from their Party this must cause a by-election to be called.
There currently appears to be a clear desire for some MP's to leave their political party because they have, for what ever reason, decided not to remain on the "Political Platform" they were elected to Parliament to serve.
Failure to ask those that voted for them to become an MP is showing disrespect to their constituency. This surely has to be ultimately decided by the people that voted for them to be an MP in the first place. It should not have to wait for the next general election. They should be required to immediately go back to their constituency and seek their support via a by-election.
