MP’s who resign from their party have to be re-elected by their constituents
7 Labour MP’s and 3 Conservative MP’s resigned from the party the we’re in when elected as MP’s. A by-election should be called and let the people decide. They should now put themselves up for re-election
Anna Soubry Sarah Wollaston Heidi Allen Chuka Umunna Luciana Berger Chris Leslie Angela Smith Mike Gapes Gavin Shuker Ann Coffey all resigned from their parties they were elected to under that party manifesto. Having failed to Cary our what they were elected to do, they resigned. If you resign, that should mean you don’t have a job. They should all now put themselves up for re-election as independents.
